JOB TITLE: SPECIAL PROJECTS PROGRAM MANAGER
DEPARTMENT: ADMINISTRATIVE
LOCATION (S): ELKO AND SURROUNDING AREAS
SUPERVISOR: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER / CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER
JOB SUMMARY:
The Special Projects Program Manager position involves primarily overseeing the development, implementation and evaluation of special projects such as the VU CASAT Mobile Van program. Responsibilities include developing and implementing the program to meet the needs of clients and their families. Coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive client care. Monitoring compliance with state, federal, and local regulations. Providing supervision, guidance, and training to behavioral health staff. Managing program budgets and ensuring efficient use of resources. Participating in community outreach and education. Additionally, rural grants/nonprofit grant management as needed. The Special Projects Program Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful implementation and ongoing operation of special projects while adhering to federal and state regulations.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Program Development and Implementation:
- Develop a detailed plan for the establishment and integration of the mobile van
program within the organization.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and key stakeholders to ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives.
- Ensure adherence to federal and state guidelines for certification and compliance.
- Team Leadership and Management:
- Assist in recruiting, hiring and training staff members for various roles within the program.
- Provide leadership and supervision to program staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and offer ongoing feedback to enhance staff performance and professional growth.
- Financial Management:
- Assist in management of the program budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and accountability.
- Monitor program expenses, identify cost saving opportunities and work to maximize available resources.
- Assist in preparation and present financial reports to executive leadership and funding agencies as required.
- Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement:
- Assist, develop, and implement quality assurance measures to monitor and evaluate program performance, client outcomes, and service delivery.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based practices to enhance program effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and conduct regular internal audits.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Foster positive working relationships with external partners, including local health departments, community organizations, and funding agencies.
- Represent the organization and the program in meetings, conferences, and community events.
- Engage in collaborative efforts to enhance service coordination and address community behavioral health needs.
- Data Management and Reporting:
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of data related to program activities, client’s outcomes, and performance metrics.
- Utilize data to inform program decisions, identify trends, and measure program impact.
- Grant Management
- Assist with rural grant management
- Assist with non-profit grant management projects
- Assist with non-profit grant prep submission
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Desired experience in behavioral health program management, preferably with experience in implementation of business management.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Financial acumen and experience in budget management.
- Data driven mindset with the ability to use data to inform decision making and program improvement.
- Commitment to providing culturally competent and person-centered care.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must provide proof of education or licensure/certification at time of employment.
- A valid Nevada Driver’s License and proof of insurance.
- Must have an acceptable driving record.
- Must have the ability to be self-motivated and perform independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to deal with people in distress.
- The ability to collaborate with colleagues and community partners from other disciplines.
- Able to adhere to all privacy and confidentiality policies; and capable of using electronic health records.
- Capable of responding to resident’s needs in a variety of situations.
- Must consistently provide a negative drug screen for illicit substances including marijuana.
EDUCATION:
·Bachelor’s degree in business, social work, psychology, counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
