Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Intelligence Developer to join our IT team. This position will be full-time contract and hybrid in Alexandira, VA.

What You'll Do

  • Perform data warehousing, data modeling, data integration, data migration, and ETL processes

  • Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models

  • Support data conversion, data integration, and data mining efforts within Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence environments

  • Manage and perform data imports from vendor cloud environments

  • Apply strong application architecture and software development skills across the full lifecycle

  • Execute application architecture functions from conception through deployment

  • Plan and deploy complex custom web application solutions and process improvements

  • Coordinate and document software requirements in collaboration with development teams

  • Use Microsoft Visio and/or Moqups to document application architecture and system relationships

  • Utilize MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to support requirements documentation, reporting, and communication

  • Proactively identify and resolve problems to keep projects on time and within budget

  • Support system hardening initiatives and assist with vulnerability remediation

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Application architecture and software development experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Visio or similar tools for documenting application architecture

  • Strong experience using MS Excel for basic software requirements documentation

  • Experience with MS Word and MS PowerPoint

  • Experience coordinating software requirements with development teams

  • Ability to plan and deploy complex custom web applications and process improvements

  • Handson experience performing the full application architecture lifecycle (concept to deployment)

  • Experience using Visio and Moqups to document application architecture relationships

  • Understanding and experience with reporting data within enterprise applications

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business, Communications, Finance, or a related discipline or equivalent experience

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

$65 - $77 per hour

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
