Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their small animal team, with the opportunity to see exotics if desired. This role offers the chance to practice high-quality medicine in a newly renovated, modern facility while serving a thriving and growing community.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position. The hospital is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Saturday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, and is closed on Sunday.

Role Description and Responsibilities
An Urgent Care Veterinarian is responsible for providing prompt medical assessment and treatment to patients presenting with non-routine or time-sensitive conditions. They perform thorough examinations, diagnose and stabilize urgent medical cases, interpret diagnostic tests, and develop appropriate treatment plans to address acute illnesses or injuries. Responsibilities include performing emergency procedures as required, administering medications and treatments, and maintaining accurate medical records in accordance with regulatory standards. The role also involves communicating clearly and compassionately with clients during high-stress situations, collaborating closely with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure efficient patient care, and contributing to a high standard of clinical service in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

Practice Details
The hospital operates in a newly renovated, high-tech, modern facility with an expansion renovation completed in 2021 and continued growth planned. Located just north of Pittsburgh, the practice provides a picturesque setting combined with cutting-edge veterinary care. The facility is fully equipped with ultrasound, digital radiography including dental, EMR, power lift tables including a dental table, five exam rooms, and the flexibility to integrate additional specialty services to benefit the community. Services include wellness care, vaccinations, dental care, general and dental surgery with digital and dental X-ray, exotic pet care, end-of-life care, and urgent care. The hospital has been recognized as a Best of the Best winner in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. The culture emphasizes collaboration between operations and clinical teams, fostering a tight-knit community atmosphere among staff and clients.

Team
The team consists of seven DVMs supported by a 3:1 staff-to-doctor ratio. The environment is collaborative and supportive, encouraging teamwork, mentorship, and strong communication to deliver exceptional patient care.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
