Job Description:
We are currently seeking a passionate, experienced Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a Dental Assistant at Riverhill Dental Associates, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, building lasting relationships with patients, and promoting overall oral health.
The ideal candidate is an exceptional multi-tasker who can anticipate doctor and patient needs, educate patients about diagnosed treatment and healthier lifestyle choices, and function well in a fast-paced environment. You must be open to constructive feedback, highly organized, and comfortable working with technology. We use Eaglesoft practice management software and all digital radiography.
Schedule is Monday through Thursday regularly, with a few Fridays when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with dental treatment of patients, including seating patients and assisting with procedures
- Prepare and mix dental materials as instructed
- Chart treatment in patient records
- Prepare treatment plans and clearly explain procedures to patients
- Prepare work areas and instruments for the dentist
- Maintain a neat and orderly operatory
- Clean, oil, and set up equipment
- Disinfect surfaces and sterilize instruments
- Set up instrument trays
- Take necessary x-rays and import them into software
- Take dental impressions and pour cast models
Requirements:
- Must have prior dental assisting experience OR have successfully completed a certified dental assisting program
- Dental Assistant certification preferred
- Ability to take dental radiographs (or willingness to obtain certification if required)
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Ability to anticipate provider and patient needs
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- Comfortable working with computers and digital software
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Willingness to support team members and continually learn new skills
