Job Summary:
The Engineering Manager oversees the alignment of product design, manufacturing engineering, and production processes across the organization. This role ensures that engineering concepts are effectively translated into reliable, repeatable manufacturing operations while supporting both product development and continuous operational improvements.

As an Engineering Manager, You Will:

• Lead and mentor engineers across product development and manufacturing engineering functions
• Provide technical guidance and help remove obstacles that impact execution
• Set clear priorities and expectations for engineering deliverables
• Support the recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of engineering talent
• Ensure product designs transition effectively into manufacturing processes
• Support design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews and product improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with operations teams to improve production consistency and efficiency
• Review tooling concepts, fixture strategies, and process improvement opportunities
• Assist engineering teams in troubleshooting product and manufacturing process issue
• Lead or support root cause analysis and corrective action effort
• Evaluate prototype and concept designs to confirm functionality and practicality
• Participate in product validation and performance testing activities
• Help organize engineering workstreams and establish project timelines
• Coordinate engineering resources across multiple projects and priorities
• Monitor progress against project milestones and schedules
• Ensure engineering deliverables align with production readiness and product launch plans
• Support engineering drawing standards, GD&T practices, and revision control
• Ensure documentation enables consistent and repeatable manufacturing outcomes
• Maintain disciplined engineering change management processes
• Identify opportunities to enhance manufacturing processes and product designs
• Support operational excellence initiatives across engineering and production teams
• Promote practical engineering solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and reliability

Skills/Requirements:

• 10+ years of engineering experience within manufacturing environments
• Proven experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
• Background working in tight-tolerance manufacturing environments
• Experience supporting manufacturing process development and continuous improvement initiatives
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including GD&T
• Experience in aerospace, defense, firearms, or other precision manufacturing industries
• Exposure to CNC machining environments
• Fixture design or manufacturing process development experience
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement training
• Military service or defense industry experience

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
