At Dunkirk Vision, we are dedicated to providing outstanding eye care services and high-quality optical products to our patients in Dunkirk and surrounding communities. We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Optician to join our team. If you have a strong customer service background and a desire to make our patients happy, we want to hear from you!

Daily Responsibilities:

• Assist patients in frame selection
• Aid patients in selecting appropriate eyeglass lenses for occupational and lifestyle demands
• Take proper measurements for various lens types
• Dispense eyeglasses, make adjustments, and perform repairs
• Place spectacle orders through visionweb and vision plan sites
• Verify and inspect completed glasses when received from lab
• Notify and schedule patients for optical dispensing

Required Skills:

• Eye Care knowledge
• Optical Sales experience
• Certified or Licensed Dispensing Optician
• Strong patient care skills
• Genuine desire to help patients

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in retail sales and merchandising
• Knowledge of inventory control
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations
• Health care background
• Able to edge lenses for patient owned frames

Salary and Benefits:

Salary for this position ranges from $50,000 to $66,000 annually, commensurate with experience and training. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, dental insurance, 401(k), health savings accounts, health & wellness programs, vacation leave, sick leave, holiday pay, and paid time off.
