Responsibilities: Answer incoming phone calls and extract vital information from the caller. These calls may include needs for onsite security, safety, and EMS.
Dispatch appropriate personnel based off of units locations and call type.
Monitor radio traffic on multiple channels and record pertinent information to input into a CAD system.
Monitor fire and security alarm systems, as well as surveillance cameras.
Communications with outside emergency response agencies as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by Public Safety Leadership.
Must be at least 18 years of age
Demonstrate excellent oral communication skills, including speaking clearly and distinctly
Able to simultaneously handle multiple tasks in an efficient manner
Good organizational and follow through skills
Ability to remain calm under stressful situations
Computer experience, including Office 365, and typing efficiently
Preferred: Experience as a public safety dispatcher, and/or knowledge of Six Flags St. Louis
Must be professional, self-motivated, and have an enthusiastic attitude
Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others
