This role is ideal for a sourcing professional who enjoys working close to the manufacturing floor, building supplier relationships, and helping create structure where processes are still evolving. The organization is expanding its production capabilities and investing in operations, creating an opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex sourcing challenges while building long term supply chain capabilities.

The Sourcing Manager will partner closely with operations, engineering, and quality teams to develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure supply continuity as the business continues to scale.

The Opportunity

The Sourcing Manager will help establish stronger supplier governance, support sourcing strategies aligned with government contracting requirements, and ensure supplier practices meet regulatory and reporting expectations tied to federal programs.

The right individual will enjoy working in a hands on manufacturing environment, collaborating across departments, and helping build sourcing structure that supports both operational growth and compliance with government procurement standards.

Key Responsibilities

Implement supplier scorecards and performance metrics to improve supplier accountability and performance.

Partner with suppliers to address quality issues, delivery challenges, and supply continuity risks.

Compliance and Governance

Support sourcing activities that align with government contracting requirements and regulatory guidelines.

Maintain documentation and supplier records to support audits, reporting requirements, and internal governance standards.

Ensure sourcing practices align with internal procurement policies and ethical sourcing expectations.

Cross Functional Collaboration

Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and planning teams to support production requirements and new product introductions.

Ensure sourcing strategies support production schedules, inventory objectives, and operational priorities.

Participate in cross functional initiatives that support operational efficiency and supply chain performance.

Process Development

Evaluate current sourcing practices and implement improvements that increase efficiency, visibility, and supplier performance.

Develop policies and procedures that strengthen procurement operations as the organization continues to scale.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.

Five to eight years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.

Experience managing supplier relationships, sourcing initiatives, and contract negotiations.

Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar platforms.

Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data to support sourcing decisions.

Experience working cross functionally with engineering, operations, and quality teams.

Exposure to regulated industries or government contracting environments is helpful but not required.
