Middle School ELA Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. The ideal candidate will inspire and engage students in grades 6-8, fostering a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking. This role requires a dynamic educator committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the academic and social growth of all students.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging ELA lessons aligned with state standards and curriculum guidelines.
• Develop and implement instructional strategies that meet the diverse needs of middle school learners.
• Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback.
• Create a classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and a growth mindset.
• Incorporate technology and multimedia resources to enhance instruction and student engagement.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and classroom activities.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior.

• Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
• Valid Indiana teaching license or certification in English Language Arts for middle school.
• Experience teaching middle school ELA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ELA curriculum, instructional best practices, and assessment methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency with educational technology and digital learning tools.
