Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their well-established small animal practice. The clinic provides comprehensive care for companion animals and is known for its supportive, collaborative culture and focus on practicing quality medicine in a balanced, sustainable environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and is closed on weekends. This role is designed as a three-day work week, approximately 30 hours per week, typically Wednesday through Friday. There is flexibility to assist with vacation coverage when needed, while maintaining a predictable schedule that supports work-life balance.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will practice small animal medicine in a calm, well-organized setting, focusing on patient care and building strong client relationships. Clinical responsibilities include wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite prevention, dentistry, and surgery. Surgical services include spaying and neutering, mass removals, abdominal surgeries such as foreign body and bladder stone removal, and certain orthopedic procedures. The role is ideal for an experienced veterinarian seeking balance and long-term stability within a collaborative team environment.
Practice Details
This small animal hospital offers vaccinations, parasite prevention, dentistry, in-house pharmacy services, wellness exams, surgery, digital radiography, an in-house laboratory, boarding, and kennel bath services. Diagnostic capabilities include blood chemistry panels, complete blood counts, urinalysis, fecal exams, and heartworm testing, allowing for timely and comprehensive patient evaluations. The practice emphasizes consistency, trust, and practicing good medicine without unnecessary pressure, creating an environment that supports both clinical excellence and personal wellbeing.

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
