Our client is a well-established small animal practice seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to join their team in Iowa City, Iowa. The hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats only and is known for delivering high-quality, compassionate medicine while building long-term client relationships.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 5:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 12:00pm, with Sunday closed. The position follows a four-day schedule Monday through Friday, with one weekday off to be determined, and includes rotating Saturday mornings from 8:00am to 12:00pm.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality, evidence-based medical care while fostering strong client relationships and prioritizing client education. Clinical responsibilities include comprehensive wellness and preventative care, dental procedures, soft tissue surgery, diagnostics, and case management for dogs and cats. The role suits a compassionate, motivated veterinarian who values collaboration and communication. A minimum of two years of clinical experience is preferred, though new graduates will be considered for the right candidate. Surgical experience is considered a plus.

This modern, fully equipped hospital offers comprehensive wellness and preventative care, dental care, digital radiology, ultrasound, in-house diagnostics, soft tissue surgery, and spaying and neutering services. With over 60 years of service to the community, the practice focuses on thoughtful, personalized medicine and long-term patient relationships. The facility is equipped with digital radiology, ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory to support efficient and accurate diagnostics. Team

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
