Our client is a hospital seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their thriving small animal practice. This full-service veterinary facility is dedicated to providing high-quality, personalized care to companion animals in a collaborative, team-based environment. Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday and Friday from 7:15am to 7:00pm, Tuesday and Thursday from 7:15am to 5:30pm, Wednesday from 7:15am to 5:30pm, and Saturday from 8:00am to 12:00pm. This is a full-time position averaging 35-40 hours per week, with flexible scheduling available to support work-life balance.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will examine animals to assess their health, diagnose conditions, and develop appropriate treatment plans. Responsibilities include performing surgery, providing dental care, testing for and vaccinating against diseases, operating medical equipment such as X-ray machines, prescribing medication, and advising clients on general care and treatment options. The role emphasizes collaboration with experienced doctors, technicians, and support staff to deliver high-quality, compassionate care. This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who values building lasting client relationships while practicing progressive, individualized medicine within a supportive team environment.
Practice Details
This full-service veterinary hospital offers comprehensive preventative, medical, surgical, and dental care, along with urgent care, end-of-life services, microchipping, nutrition counseling, special and prescription diets, pharmacy services, and CarePlans. Additional services include pet bathing, boarding, and daycare. The facility features advanced in-house diagnostics and laboratory services capable of performing complete blood counts, urinalysis, and chemistry panels with rapid, accurate results. Medical imaging capabilities include digital radiography and ultrasound, providing detailed, noninvasive diagnostic insight. The hospital also maintains a state-of-the-art surgical suite equipped with modern anesthetic and monitoring technology to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
Team
The team consists of four DVMs supported by experienced veterinary technicians and support staff in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment. Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
