Product Development Food Scientist

Our client, consumer food goods industry is seeking a Product Development Food Scientist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have handson formulation skills and be able to prioritize and resolve emerging issues while driving rapid product innovation in a fastpaced, multitasking, multicultural environment, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Product Development Foods Scientist

Location: Englewood Cliffs, NJ / Remote Hybrid

Pay Range: $35 - $42 hourly

Contract: 9 Months (extension possible)

Whats the Job?

• Lead R&D activities to design, formulate, and improve Cooking Aids products with a strong handson, consumerfocused approach.
• Develop and run technical tests, prototypes, scale-ups, and data analysis to support product performance and quality.
• Create and manage product specifications in SAP and prepare clear reports, recommendations, and presentations.
• Support cost savings, supply chain efficiency, and process improvement initiatives across projects.
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional and virtual teams.

Whats Needed?

• Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Science or equivalent degree.
• 5-7 years of experience in the food industry in product development and / or process development.
• Experience with SAP, specification creation and approval process, demonstrated knowledge/experience in dry products and understanding of Supply Chain.
• Must Have: formulation expert skilled at prioritizing and resolving emerging issues, driving continuous process improvement, multitasking effectively, and leading fast-paced product design and renovation in a diverse, dynamic environment.
• Food Service business preferred.
