Boiler Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities:

• Maintain required work hours and attendance in accordance with position expectations.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and workplace guidelines.
• Follow all company safety policies and always maintain a safe working environment.
• Monitor equipment to ensure proper operation and identify potential issues.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment to maintain optimal performance.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in boilers, auxiliary equipment (including pumps and motors), and associated control systems.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, system performance, and completed repairs.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations involving boiler systems, including leaks, malfunctions, or system failures.
• Monitor chlorine levels and oversee the operation of the well water system.
• Conduct tests on boiler and water softening systems, record results, and replace soft water tanks as needed.
• Perform necessary adjustments, maintenance, and repairs on boilers and related auxiliary equipment.
• Adjust system controls regulation fuel feed, water levels, and steam pressure according to operational requirements.
• Inspect boilers and surrounding areas regularly to identify potential problems or safety concerns.
• Report unsafe equipment, hazardous conditions, or unsafe behaviors to management.
• Complete additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or management.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic principles.
• Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues involving boiler systems and related equipment.
• Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations, standards, and procedures associated with boiler operation and maintenance.
• Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in confined or restricted spaces.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with technicians, supervisors, and other team members.
• Skilled in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, gas logs, repairs, and overall system performance.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Minimum of 3 years related experience
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Must have Excellent Communication Skills
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Must be capable of making repetitive arm and hand motions, stand, walk up steps, reach, bend, kneel, and lift.
• Lifting Capacity: 50-75lbs.
