Area Manager

Minimum Base Salary: $80,000 
Mutiple Openings: 2nd Shift 3:30PM - 11:30PM, 3rd Shift 11:30PM-7:30AM

Responsibilities

This is a hands-on operational leadership role responsible for managing large teams in a high-volume production and warehouse environment.You will: 

• Lead, develop, and hold accountable 50+ hourly associates, leads, and supervisors 

• Create a culture of safety, discipline, urgency, and execution 

• Translate production plans into organized, efficient workflow 

• Drive measurable improvements in productivity, quality, and cost per unit 

• Ensure seamless coordination across shifts and departments 

This role requires a strong operational backbone, deep understanding of production flow, and the ability to manage complexity without losing focus on people. 

Large-Scale Team Leadership 

• Directly and indirectly manage 50+ associates in kitting, copack, and warehouse operations 

• Build strong frontline leadership capability through coaching and clear expectations 

• Maintain high standards for attendance, performance, safety, and quality 

• Conduct structured performance reviews and deliver consistent, real-time feedback 

• Drive engagement while maintaining operational rigor 

Operational Discipline & Execution 

• Execute daily production plans with strict adherence to safety, quality, and service standards 

• Monitor KPIs including productivity, labor efficiency, scrap, rework, and on-time completion 

• Identify gaps in execution and take immediate corrective action 

• Control overtime through strong labor planning and workflow balancing 

• Ensure SOP adherence and standardized work across all lines and shifts 

Kitting & Copack Expertise (Highly Preferred) 

• Strong understanding of high-volume kitting and copack production environments 

• Experience managing multi-SKU assemblies, retail displays, promotional builds, and rework 

• Ability to balance line speed, staffing levels, and quality control requirements 

• Knowledge of material flow, line balancing, and bottleneck identification 

Workflow Planning & Production Organization 

• Translate client demand forecasts into organized labor and line plans 

• Plan staffing levels to meet throughput targets without excess cost 

• Organize floor layout and material staging to eliminate waste and downtime 

• Partner with CI to improve line configuration, takt time, and overall efficiency 

• Anticipate volume spikes and adjust labor and workflow proactively 

What We’re Looking For 

• Proven experience leading 50+ employees in warehouse, production, manufacturing, or copack operations 

• Demonstrated operational discipline and strong KPI management 

• Experience in kitting and copacking environments strongly preferred 

• Strong understanding of workflow planning, production scheduling, and labor optimization 

• Knowledge of WMS and Microsoft Office tools, Time & Attendance Management 

• Ability to work flexible schedules, including off-shifts and weekends
