Join Our Team as a Supply Chain Manager!

General Equipment & Supply (GES) is a leader in the refurbishment, manufacturing, and distribution of industrial tools and equipment. Our team takes pride in delivering high-quality products and customized solutions to contractors, utilities, and industrial partners. As a growing small business with a handson culture, GES thrives on teamwork, innovation, and operational excellence. We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager who can manage and improve the full supply chain lifecycle—purchasing, inventory, production support, and logistics—to keep our manufacturing and refurbishment operations running efficiently.

The Supply Chain Manager oversees the endtoend flow of materials, components, and finished goods within GES’s smallscale manufacturing and refurbishment environment. This role requires an adaptable, detailoriented professional capable of balancing strategic planning with daily operational tasks. The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, handson industrial setting.

Daily Responsibilities:

Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Source raw materials, tools, components, and consumables required for manufacturing and refurbishment operations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and national suppliers.
  • Negotiate competitive pricing, favorable lead times, and scalable order quantities.
  • Monitor vendor performance and resolve quality or delivery issues promptly.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels for raw materials, refurbished components, and finished goods.
  • Implement effective inventory control practices such as cycle counts and reorder triggers.
  • Track material usage against production needs and forecast adjustments.
  • Oversee warehouse organization, labeling, and secure stock storage.

Production Planning & Coordination

  • Align material availability with production schedules.
  • Support production supervisors in preventing bottlenecks or delays.
  • Adjust production plans as order priorities shift or supply constraints arise.

Logistics & Shipping

  • Manage inbound deliveries and outbound customer shipments.
  • Select cost-effective freight partners appropriate for smallbusiness shipping volumes.
  • Ensure accurate packaging, labeling, and shipping documentation.
  • Maintain organized warehouse staging and shipping areas.

Cost Control & Process Improvement

  • Evaluate supply chain expenses and identify costsaving opportunities.
  • Reduce waste through better purchasing, material handling, and storage practices.
  • Support continuous improvement projects across the operations and production floor.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with production, sales, accounting, and leadership teams.
  • Provide reporting on inventory levels, supply chain performance, and supplier metrics.
  • Assist with planning for new product lines, refurbishment programs, and customer requirements.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of supply chain or manufacturing experience, preferably in a small business or industrial environment.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and vendormanagement skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP or inventory management systems (QuickBooks, Katana, Fishbowl, NetSuite, or similar).
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, BOMs, and production workflows.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced, hands-on manufacturing setting.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Problemsolving mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team
  • Commitment to safety, accuracy, and operational efficiency

Salary and Benefits:

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, life insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, sick leave, holiday pay, and paid time off.
