HVAC Install Assistant

Position Summary

Bullman Heating & Air is seeking a dependable and motivated HVAC Install Assistant to support our installation team in Asheville, NC. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start or grow a career in the HVAC trade. As an Install Assistant, you’ll work alongside experienced Lead Installers to help install residential HVAC systems while learning valuable technical skills in a hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Installers with the installation of residential HVAC systems, including heating, air conditioning, and ductwork

• Load, unload, and transport equipment, tools, and materials to and from job sites

• Prepare job sites and ensure work areas are clean, safe, and organized

• Help with basic system setup, mounting equipment, and connecting components under supervision

• Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and installation procedures

• Provide professional, courteous service to customers while on-site

• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles as needed

• Support the installation team with additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Previous HVAC, construction, or trade-related experience is a plus but not required

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn the HVAC trade

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred
