About Our Hospital:

FRVH is located in a thriving new development in Folsom, California. The facility is approximately 7800 square feet with ample parking. The hospital opened on June 10, 2024. With 12 exam rooms, modern equipment, dedicated dental and surgical suites and even a fireplace in our lounge, you won’t find a practice like this anywhere!

VETERINARY ASSISTANT

• Previous veterinary experience required.
• Ability to handle and restrain animals in a compassionate, gentle, safe and fear-free manner.
• Strong, consistent work ethic with the ability to perform and complete daily duties efficiently.
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative fast paced environment while remaining calm in stressful situations.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including some weekends and evenings.
• A positive and professional attitude with a friendly and respectful demeanor towards coworkers, clients, and the animals we care for.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills are required, as well as the ability to be self-directed in their daily tasks
• Ability to perform TPR, surgical assisting, dentistry knowledge, blood draws, catheterization, laboratory (in-house IDEXX equipment, xray), etc.
• Professional appearance
• Be able to effectively communicate both verbally/written with clients and staff.
• Be able to lift a 35 pound dog onto an examination table
• Be able to effectively communicate both verbally/written with clients and staff.

Availability: 1 regular weekend day and open to split days off.
