Position Summary

ARB, Inc., a Primoris company, is seeking an experienced Document Control Manager to lead document management systems and processes for large-scale EPC and industrial construction projects. This Irvine, CA–based role will support power generation, energy infrastructure, and industrial projects nationwide, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant management of project documentation.

The Document Control Manager will support projects from early development and FEED phases through active construction and closeout, while managing and mentoring a field document control team. This role partners closely with engineering, project management, construction, procurement, clients, and subcontractors to maintain document integrity, streamline workflows, and ensure alignment with project schedules, technical requirements, and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

· Establish, implement, and maintain document control procedures, workflows, and execution plans for EPC projects in power generation and Oil & Gas

· Support early project phases, including pursuits, proposals, and FEED, by setting up document management structures, numbering systems, and transmittal processes prior to project award Lead document control activities during FEED and detailed engineering, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project execution plans

· Manage document control operations for active projects, including oversight of site-based document control teams

· Develop and enforce document control standards for document numbering, version control, distribution, transmittals, and archiving

· Coordinate with engineering disciplines to ensure timely processing, review, and issuance of drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documents

· Interface with clients, partners, vendors, and subcontractors regarding document control requirements and deliverables

· Manage project closeout documentation, including turnover packages and as-built records

· Train, mentor, and supervise document control staff in both office and field environments

· Monitor document control KPIs and proactively identify and resolve process gaps or risks

· Ensure compliance with company procedures, client specifications, and contractual requirements

Qualifications

· 8-12 years of experience in document control within EPC companies supporting power generation and/or Oil & Gas projects

· Proven experience managing document control during pre-award, pursuit, and FEED phases

· Demonstrated ability to manage document control activities on large, active construction projects

· Experience leading and supervising field-based document control teams

· Strong understanding of EPC project lifecycles and execution strategies

· Extensive hands-on experience with Bluebeam, SharePoint, Procore, and other enterprise document management systems (e.g., Aconex, OpenText, Documentum, or equivalent)

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage large volumes of technical documentation across multiple projects

· Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to interface effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders

· Ability to work independently, set priorities, and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced EPC environment

· Experience on large-scale combined cycle, simple cycle, renewable, or Oil & Gas facilities

· Experience supporting joint ventures or multi-partner EPC projects

· Familiarity with client document control requirements typical of utilities, developers, and energy companies
