Job Description


The Corporate Controller leads the companys accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls while partnering with executive leadership to drive sound financial strategy. 

 

We're looking for someone who 

Holds a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting 

Has 10+ years of progressive accounting experience 

Holds a CPA or CMA license (preferred) 

Demonstrates exceptional knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, cost accounting, and financial controls Is proficient in MS Office and ERP accounting systems, with experience in Famous ERP (preferred) 

Has experience with software system implementations (preferred) 

Communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing 

Has strong analytical skills with the ability to recommend and implement process improvements Is comfortable working with senior executives and mentoring accounting team members 

Maintains a high level of attention to detail and confidentiality 

Has prior experience in the agricultural industry (preferred) 

 

What you'll do 

Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, payroll, AP/AR, billing, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition 

Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis (Actual vs Budget and Prior Year) 

Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and supporting reports 

Monitor cash flow, funding balances, and major financial obligations 

Maintain documented accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls 

Ensure timely payment of accounts and proper processing of receivables 

Organize and prepare documentation for internal and external audits 

Advise leadership and the CFO on financial planning, capital investments, pricing, and cost benchmarks 

Lead the annual budgeting process including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow preparation 

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial and tax regulations 

Implement and benchmark operational best practices within the accounting function 

Support department managers with budget preparation and financial analysis
