Production Manager

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage production operations, including manufacturing, distribution, and warehousing.
• Supervise production staff and supervisors, providing coaching, training, performance management, and disciplinary action when necessary.
• Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, and quality teams to optimize production schedules and resources.
• Establish production priorities to meet customer demand, quality standards, and cost targets.
• Monitor production performance, including throughput, efficiency, scrap, and product quality.
• Analyze production data and operational reports to identify issues and implement improvements.
• Implement and support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and Kanban.
• Develop and implement plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and personnel.
• Investigate production issues including inventory discrepancies, production losses, safety incidents, and performance concerns.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and customers to resolve issues and maintain alignment.
• Assist in developing and managing departmental budgets and headcount planning.
• Support and maintain the company's quality management system and ensure compliance with established standards.
• When acting as site leader, oversee the facility quality system and report system performance and improvement needs to senior leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• 8 years of supervisory or management experience in lieu of a degree
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Familiarity with ISO 9000 Quality Management Systems
• Authorized to work legally in the United States.
