Compensation: Up to $115,000 base salary + performance bonus

Summary
An established and growing hospitality company is seeking a General Manager – Bakery & Café Operations to lead daily operations of a high-volume bakery and café environment. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, and exceptional guest experiences while maintaining high standards for scratch-made products. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, hands-on operational involvement, and the ability to develop teams in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily bakery and café operations to ensure consistent product quality and service standards.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, operating procedures, food safety standards, and production recipes.
- Partner with bakery production leadership to ensure appropriate product levels and quality are maintained.
- Monitor business trends and adjust staffing and operational plans.
- Support catering, events, special orders while maintaining efficiency.
- Foster welcoming environment and deliver an exceptional guest experience.
- Lead, coach, motivate team members to achieve service excellence.
- Support hiring, onboarding, training to ensure team development.
- Provide regular feedback and performance coaching.
- Establish clear expectations and accountability across the team.
- Manage store-level financial performance, including sales, labor, ops. costs.
- Build labor schedules aligned with sales forecasts and operational needs.
- Analyze performance metrics, implement strategies to improve profitability.
- Ensure proper financial controls and accountability throughout the operation.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in culinary arts, hospitality, or business management preferred.
- 2–3+ years of leadership experience in a bakery, café, restaurant, or similar hospitality environment.
- Hands-on baking experience in a scratch-made production environment.
- Experience managing high-volume retail or restaurant operations.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Ability to analyze and manage profit-and-loss statements and operational metrics.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain operational standards.
- Proven ability to train, coach, and develop employees.
- Local candidates preferred; relocation assistance not available.
