POSITION SUMMARY
This position reports to the Director, Tax Reporting and will provide manager level support to the ASC 740 process as well as assist with various projects related to the departments operations as needed. The positions ASC 740 responsibilities will include review and maintenance of quarterly/annual tax packages prepared by Tax Department personnel (as supported by domestic/foreign finance teams), cash tax forecasting, and managing tax information included in the companys consolidated tax provision, external financial reporting materials and domestic tax compliance. This position will indirectly manage dedicated staff locally and in a regional service center.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate the preparation, timely receipt, and review of ASC 740 tax packages (including return to provision and payable proof/deferred validation) from controllers in domestic/foreign jurisdictions.
- Prepare/review aspects of consolidated interim/year-end ASC 740 tax provision
- Assist the Director, Tax Reporting with other ASC 740 projects as needed during the quarterly/annual closing process.
- Review tax account reporting for all units to determine accuracy of reporting and partner with accounting organization to assist in corrections being made as necessary.
- Review/approve tax account reconciliations in reconciliation tool for units assigned for accuracy and appropriate level of documentation.
- Assist in data gathering necessary for workpapers and SOX documentation being prepared by ASC 740 staff for external audit review.
- Assist in tax compliance/special projects as needed
- Maintaining and updating the companys global cash tax forecast
- Informally manage local tax analysts and other dedicated staff in regional service center while enhancing employee engagement and adding value to the Vertiv business.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA or BS in business
- At least 8 years experience with ASC 740 experience and a variety of other corporate tax responsibilities with global organizations.
- CPA (preferred, but not required).
- General knowledge of federal, state, local and international income tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with OneSource Tax Provision (OTP), HFM/EPM Reporting, Oracle (or similar ERP system) and OneSource Income Tax (OIT), or other income tax compliance system
- Intermediate Proficiency in MS Excel and general proficiency in other MS Office applications
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Analytic abilities, with a proven track record of working effectively in a team and implementing process solutions with objective, measurable results
- Strong teamworking skills, with experience explaining detailed processes to junior tax personnel
