Responsibilities:
  • Perform detailed account reconciliations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data.
  • Prepare, record, and review journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and supporting schedules.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes including accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Utilize Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) to record, track, and validate financial transactions.
  • Reconcile subledger activity to the general ledger and investigate discrepancies.
  • Assist with preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
  • Conduct technical accounting research to support compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, and other internal teams to provide financial analysis and support decision-making.
  • Assist in the development, documentation, and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to requests.
  • Identify data inconsistencies, process gaps, or inefficiencies and work toward resolution.
  • Maintain organization and discipline around close timelines and deadlines.
  • Communicate proactively when discrepancies, risks, or issues are identified.
  • Contribute to improving accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 3-6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in an operational or multi-entity environment.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, debits and credits, accrual accounting, and month-end close processes.
  • Hands-on experience performing journal entries, reconciliations, and close activities within Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains).
  • Solid understanding of how subledger activity flows through GP to the general ledger.
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as Microsoft Dynamics, Acumatica, NetSuite, or Microsoft Business Central.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel including complex formulas, pivot tables, data validation, and large dataset analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in inventory-driven, logistics, retail, or wholesale environments preferred.
  • Experience reconciling data with external systems such as WMS platforms, banking portals, or Excel models preferred.
  • Interest in process improvements, automation, and system efficiencies preferred.
