Line Cook – Golf Course & Events

About Us

We are a New England golf course serving members and the public. Our kitchen supports daily grillroom service, leagues, tournaments, and seasonal events. We also partner with outside caterers for large weddings and banquets, and our team focuses on consistent execution, great service, and a welcoming environment.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Line Cook to join our team for the upcoming season. This role focuses on preparing and cooking food for daily service, supporting golf tournaments and events, and assisting with buffet setups and catered functions. The ideal candidate is reliable, efficient, and comfortable working in a fastpaced, teamoriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items for breakfast, lunch, and event service

  • Set up, stock, and maintain stations before, during, and after service

  • Support golf tournaments, leagues, and special events (buffets, boxed lunches, grill stations)

  • Assist with wedding and banquet service (reheating, setup, coordination with supervisor)

  • Follow recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines

  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including equipment, prep areas, and storage

  • Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures

  • Communicate with the Kitchen Supervisor and frontofhouse team to ensure smooth service

  • Assist with basic prep lists and production tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience as a line cook, prep cook, or banquet cook

  • Strong cooking and knife skills

  • Ability to work efficiently during highvolume periods

  • Comfortable with early mornings, weekends, and seasonal schedules

  • ServSafe certification preferred (not required)

  • Reliable, teamoriented, and able to follow direction
