Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Workdays: Monday Friday (no weekends or holidays)
Shift: Day shift (start/end times flexible)
Duration: Minimum 6 months, with possible extension or permanent hire
Position Summary
We are seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Physician with experience in primary care to provide on-site medical services on a Full time basis in a correctional healthcare setting. The position serves an adult female population and offers a consistent weekday schedule with no on-call requirements.
Both a video interview and an on-site interview/tour will be required.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive medical care using nationally recognized treatment standards
Conduct medical examinations and complete evaluations, reports, and clinical documentation in an electronic health record
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic testing
Prescribe and manage medications
Complete medical reviews and reclassifications as required
Refer patients for specialized care or treatment when appropriate
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare and administrative teams
Participate in continuous quality improvement activities, including peer review
Perform duties in accordance with professional scope of practice and applicable regulations
Caseload: Up to 2.5 patients per hour
Qualifications
Board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
Active Ohio Medical License
Experience providing primary care services
DEA Certification (required)
Healthcare-level BLS/CPR Certification
Master s Degree or higher (MD/DO required for practice)
