Brown & Brown is seeking a Chief Revenue Officer BBDS., and VP of Alternative Markets to join our growing team in Bloomington, MN !

In this role, you will be responsible for increasing sales volume and profitability through impactful leadership, strategic planning, and ongoing mentoring of both new and seasoned producers.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Identify, design, and implement sales strategies for continued growth of the department.

  • Communicate new opportunities, trends, and carrier information to all members of the team.

  • Review and prepare monthly analyses to measure progress in achieving department objectives

  • Identify new business opportunities, quote, present, and sell to prospective clients}.

  • Develop and lead regular regional sales meetings that motivate and empower the team.

  • Build a network of region-wide peers; collaborate best practices.

  • Responsible for meeting budgeted growth goals and operating margins for the region.

  • Promote teamwork, support, knowledge sharing and a positive attitude throughout the region.

  • Promote a commitment to achieve or exceed internal and external performance standards.

  • Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology including professional development and continuing education required for valid licensing.

  • Establish, direct, and monitor sales goals and objectives that are in alignment with the regional strategy and in accordance with established policies and procedures.

  • Lead, coach, and motivate the sales teams with an unwavering commitment to revenue growth.

  • Partner with profit centers' leadership to regularly evaluate and identify short-term and long-term recruitment needs and strategies to retain top talent.

  • Identify areas of opportunities and develop strategies for improvement within the region, including sourcing new business, potential acquisitions, community outreach, and industry networking.

  • Train and develop the capabilities of the team in a manner that enhances the company's image and level of service to clients and business partners.

  • Analyze and evaluate the performance and results of each office on an on-going basis and prepare periodic reports comparing the actual results with the goals; initiate any necessary action to see that the goals are accomplished.

  • Partner with profit centers 'leadership to regularly evaluate sales teammates, in relation to skills, insurance coverage and technology knowledge.

  • Develop and implement learning programs for new and existing sales teammates with a focus on insurance coverage knowledge, carrier products and services, technology, and company capabilities, while providing direction and feedback to drive performance growth with the use of measurable goals and ensure proper execution that is in alignment across the organization

  • Maintain strong relationships with carrier partners to provide a benefit to the department, as it relates to optimizing products and services.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience to be Successful:

  • College Degree preferably in the field of Risk Management, Insurance or Business Administration. (preffered)

  • 15+ years of sales experience

  • Valid Producer Insurance license in good standing

  • Strong technical knowledge of all applicable lines of insurance coverage.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay Range

$325,000 - $325,000 Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
