We are a growing rural healthcare clinic dedicated to providing top-quality dental care to our community, and we’re looking for a Dental Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our practice.
What You’ll Do:
- Greet and check in patients with a warm and professional demeanor
- Schedule and confirm appointments, optimizing the provider’s schedule
- Verify insurance information and assist with billing inquiries
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient questions with care and efficiency
- Assist with basic dental knowledge inquiries and treatment coordination

- Previous experience in a dental or medical office preferred
- Basic knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with dental practice management software (preferred but not required)

Hours are on rotation as follows:
Sun, Mon, Tues 8 am - 8 pm
Wed, Thurs 8 am - 8 pm, Frid 8 am - 2 pm
With 7 days off every other week!
Must be able to work any of the clinic shifts. No overtime.
Responsibilities:
- Appointment Scheduling:
- Efficiently manage the appointment scheduling process implementing the schedule template.
- Coordinate and confirm patient appointments via phone, text, email, or in-person interactions.
- Patient Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries, and providing information regarding treatments, procedures and appointments
- Follow Medi-Cal Frequency & Benefit Limitations
- Ensure patient meets all frequency and benefit limitations when scheduling and that procedure codes meet both scheduling and patient needs.
- Assist patients in understanding out commitment in assisting them while meeting standards as set forth in rural healthcare clinic.
- Front Desk Operations:
- Greet patients warmly, create a welcoming environment, and manage patient check-in and check-out processes.
- Maintain organized patient records and update information as needed.
- Work closely with Dental Department Manager to ensure schedule templates and procedure codes are fully utilized and functioning within department guidelines.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a customer service or patient care role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and grow with the team.
- Proficiency in using various technology platforms.
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Positive attitude, empathy, and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service is a plus.
