We are seeking a seasoned financial professional who values stability, structure, and long-term commitment someone who prefers building and improving systems over chasing corporate titles. Position Overview This senior leadership role combines high-level financial oversight with hands-on office and operations management. The Controller / Office Manager will work directly with ownership and operations leadership to ensure accurate reporting, strong internal controls, efficient daily operations, and practical financial decision-making. This position is ideal for an experienced professional who wants to take ownership in a respected, growing organization without the bureaucracy of a large corporate environment. Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership & Controller Duties Oversee all accounting operations (A/R, A/P, payroll, general ledger, month-end close) Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and credit facilities Lead budgeting and forecasting processes Strengthen internal controls and financial procedures Coordinate with external CPA firm on tax and compliance matters Oversee inventory accounting and cost tracking Provide practical financial insight to support operational decisions and capital investments Office & Operations Management Oversee daily office operations and administrative workflows Weigh trucks in and out of the yard, create invoices, and manage purchase orders Maintain accurate records and organized documentation Schedule drivers and coordinate pickups Assist with HR-related administrative tasks (timesheets, employee files, onboarding) Support smooth day-to-day operations across the business What We're Looking For 10+ years of progressive accounting experience Prior leadership experience in a privately held, industrial, manufacturing, or commodity-based business Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Experience improving financial systems and processes Comfortable working directly with ownership in a hands-on, operational environment Steady, decisive, and accountable leadership style Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Long-term stability with a well-capitalized, family-run business Direct impact on company performance and growth Hands-on, professional, and supportive work environment Opportunity to build and improve systems that matter for the long term Principals only.
