Traveling Onsite Project Manager – Structural Steel (100% Travel)

A structural steel organization is hiring a 100% traveling, on-site Project Manager to support steel erection projects across the Eastern and Midwest U.S. This role is ideal for a PM, Foreman, or Erection Manager with strong field coordination experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-site structural steel erection activities

• Coordinate schedules, sequencing, and deliveries with subcontracted erectors

• Attend daily and weekly meetings with the GC/CM

• Track progress and ensure erection work meets schedule expectations

• Serve as the primary on-site contact for steel-related activities

Qualifications

• 3+ years in the structural steel industry

• Experience as a Project Manager, Foreman, or Erection Manager

• Exposure to multiple project @types (commercial, industrial, distribution, data center, etc.)

• Strong understanding of steel erection means and methods

• Ability to work independently on active jobsites

Travel

• 100% travel / on-site role

• Projects in NC, VA, PA, SC, IL, NY, OH, TN

• Hotel provided near site

• Home travel typically once per month

Compensation

• $100,000–$130,000 salary (DOE)

• Per diem (varies by location)

• Mileage reimbursement and truck stipend (own vehicle required)
