Intern- IT Infrastructure

Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive, analytically minded, and intellectually curious individual to join our IT Infrastructure organization as an IT Infrastructure Intern . This internship provides hands-on experience supporting infrastructure positioning, internal enablement, research, and go-to-infrastructure execution across enterprise IT domains.

This role is ideal for a student interested in the intersection of technology, operations, and strategic communications. You will work closely with infrastructure leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen how infrastructure services are positioned, communicated, and operationalized internally.

You will gain exposure to enterprise IT functions including infrastructure platforms, end user services, automation initiatives, governance models, and operational reporting building foundational experience for a career in technology strategy, IT communications, portfolio marketing, or infrastructure management.

Responsibilities:

• Support go-to-infrastructure activities by assisting with value propositions, messaging updates, competitive insights, and internal customer-facing materials.
• Conduct infrastructure research to help inform positioning, differentiation, and portfolio strategy across IT domains.
• Assist in launch preparation for new and existing infrastructure initiatives, including content refreshes, readiness checklists, and cross-functional coordination.
• Help build and maintain infrastructure enablement materials such as presentations, playbooks, case studies, dashboards, and service briefs.
• Enhance infrastructure collateral and documentation to ensure accuracy, clarity, governance alignment, and consistency with Vertivs tone and strategy.
• Contribute to process improvement efforts that streamline how the infrastructure team operates (templates, workflows, documentation standards, AI implementation, and governance artifacts).
• Collaborate with IT Infrastructure, Service Management, Security, Architecture, and Enterprise Applications teams to support real-world initiatives.
• Support reporting and transparency efforts through structured content updates and dashboard inputs.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong interest in IT infrastructure, enterprise technology, or B2B environments
• Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize technical information into clear insights
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable learning technical concepts and new technologies quickly
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and work both independently and collaboratively
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Curiosity, structured thinking, and a problem-solving mindset

Preferred (but not required)

• Exposure to IT infrastructure concepts (cloud, networking, service management, automation, cybersecurity, or enterprise platforms)
• Experience building presentations, documentation, or structured reporting materials
• Familiarity with competitive research or market analysis
• Interest in process optimization, governance models, or AI-driven productivity tools
