Licensure Required: Active license in Louisiana, Mississippi, or Texas
Experience: 1+ years Maritime/Admiralty experience preferred
Compensation: Hourly Pay + Commission
Structure Work Arrangement: Onsite Preferred | Open to Remote for the Right Candidate

Position Overview
The Associate Attorney will manage maritime and admiralty cases from inception through resolution. This role offers hands-on litigation experience, direct client interaction, and meaningful responsibility early on.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage maritime/admiralty cases from start to finish
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and memoranda
- Handle discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery
- Take and defend depositions
- Participate in mediations, hearings, and court appearances
- Communicate directly with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel
- Conduct case evaluations and assist with litigation strategy
- Assist in trial preparation and participate in trial when applicable
- Maintain accurate billing and case documentation
Qualifications
- Active license in one of the following - LA, MS, or TX (in good standing)
- 1+ years of experience in Maritime or Admiralty law required
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Deposition and courtroom experience preferred
- Ability to independently manage files with minimal supervision
- Professional, responsive, and client-focused mindset
