Primoris Canada is an infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries and include services covering tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services.

SUMMARY

Primoris Canada is seeking apprentice pipefitters to support a multiple long-term projects at our fabrication yard in Acheson, AB. The project offers up to two years of work, providing longterm stability for qualified tradespeople . This position involves outdoor pipe fabrication yard environment, supporting large-diameter pipe spools from 24” to 42”and fabricated assemblies.

Anticipated Start Date: March-April

Location: Acheson, AB

Shift: Dayshift 4x10s with potential OT

Inclusive Hourly Rate: $35.16/hr to $51.21/hr (Inclusive of employer contributions for vacation/statutory, health and welfare, RSP, RSP matching, education, training and $3.00/hr outdoor premium).

Base Hourly Rate: $27.18 - $40.77

JOB DUTIES

• Comply with Company, Client, and OH&S safety standards
• Fit pipe using shop drawings
• Tack weld fitting components
• Utilize elbow jigs and external clamps whenever possible
• Operate Jib cranes and rigging equipment
• Attend safety and toolbox meetings
• Hydrotesting
• Perform other related duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

• Alberta registered apprentice (AIT recognized)
• CSTS-20
• WHMIS
• Crane and rigging experience considered an asset
• Confined space ticket considered an asset (training is available)
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs and work in tight spaces
• Organized, self-motivated, and team-oriented
• Pre-employment alcohol and drug testing is a condition of employment.
