Job Description
ARB Industrial is seeking an experienced Materials Control Manager to support large-scale industrial construction projects across Northern Nevada. This project-based, field-oriented role is responsible for leading all material management activities from procurement through installation, ensuring projects are properly supplied, cost-controlled, and executed efficiently.
This position plays a critical role in supporting ARB’s self-perform and EPC operations by maintaining strong controls over inventory, logistics, and material flow. The ideal candidate brings hands-on field experience, strong organizational discipline, and the ability to collaborate closely with project management, procurement, construction, and vendors.
This role is project-based and includes paid per diem in accordance with company policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish, implement, and manage material control processes, procedures, and systems in alignment with ARB project execution standards
- Coordinate procurement, expediting, delivery, and tracking of materials to support construction schedules and critical path activities
- Manage on-site inventory, including receipt, inspection, storage, preservation, and distribution of materials and equipment
- Maintain accurate material records, inventory reports, and usage tracking to support project cost control and forecasting
- Partner with Project Managers, Project Controls, Procurement, and vendors to resolve shortages, damages, discrepancies, and delivery delays
- Ensure complete and compliant documentation for all material transactions, including purchase orders, packing lists, receiving reports, and invoices
- Perform regular inventory audits and reconciliations to verify accuracy and identify process improvement opportunities
- Enforce ARB safety standards and best practices for material handling, storage, and transportation
- Lead, train, and supervise material control and warehouse personnel assigned to the project
- Support project teams in forecasting material needs and proactively mitigating supply chain and logistics risks
- Participate in project planning, mobilization, and closeout activities related to material management
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience will be considered
- Minimum of 5 years of material control, logistics, or supply chain experience in industrial, power, energy, or heavy construction environments
- Strong working knowledge of construction material management, procurement workflows, and inventory control systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and material management or ERP platforms
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, schedule-driven project environments
- Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communicator with the ability to coordinate across operations, engineering, procurement, and vendors
- Proven leadership experience supervising field-based material control personnel
- Working knowledge of OSHA and industry safety standards related to material handling and storage
- Willingness to travel and remain on-site for the duration of assigned projects in Northern Nevada
- Ability to work extended hours as required to support project milestones and deadlines
Work Environment & Travel
- Project-based assignment supporting ARB Industrial construction projects in Northern Nevada
- Field-based role requiring daily presence at active job sites and material laydown areas
- Paid per diem provided in accordance with company policy
- Travel and extended project assignments expected
