The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing the accurate and efficient flow of materials and products. This role includes receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, verifying documentation, organizing inventory, and coordinating outbound shipments to meet customer requirements and production schedules. The clerk ensures compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and aerospace regulations while maintaining accurate records in inventory management systems. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to supporting production timelines are essential.

This role is 100% in office at our plant in East Hartford, CT.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

Pull inventory and repackage for shipmentPackage parts coming from shop floor according to work instructionsAssure that all parts are packed correctly to the operation sheet and sufficiently to not be damaged in transportProcess international shipment paperwork including Certificate of Origin and commercial invoices along with international shipment numbersDownload requirements from customer websites and ship parts with enough time to be received on time by the customerProcess all company shipments with required paperwork including Certificate of Conformance.Handle all customer returns including RMA's and shipping instructionCycle count and manage inventoryClean & wash reusable packagingEfficiently and accurately receive service work, customer returns, MRO items, and subcontractor work.Navigate Epicor to process customer shipments, manage receiving operations, and perform inventory control functions effectively.Compile daily shipment requirements using Epicor and customer portal data, pull inventory, and package items for shipment.Process shipments utilizing customer portals to ensure compliance with requirements.Navigate Epicor to process customer shipments, manage receiving operations, and perform inventory control functions effectively.Handle international shipments and exports, including filing Electronic Export Information (EEI) via AES Direct in the ACE system, preparing documentation such as certificates of origin and commercial invoices, and ensuring regulatory compliance.Ensure parts are packaged securely following operation sheet guidelines and/or work instructions to meet or exceed quality and safety standards.Perform inventory control functions, including issuing assembly kits to the manufacturing floor, conducting cycle counts, and maintaining accurate inventory records.Ensure timely allocating materials to job travelers within the EPCIOR ERP systemLoad, unload, and transport materials and products between loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas.Other Duties as assigned

Requirements:

2-3 years' hands-on experience working in a fast-paced shipping departmentFamiliarity with international shipmentsStrong computer skills-prior ERP experience is a plusWork with FedEx and /or UPS software and DHLAbility to read blueprints with accuracyMust be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentHigh School Diploma or equivalentExcellent skills in Microsoft ExcelHighly organizedExperience in aerospace manufacturing a plus
