Associate Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a multi-location veterinary practice in New York City hiring Associate Veterinarians to work across three practices. The role involves providing care to small animal patients, specifically dogs and cats, within a full-service clinical setting. The practice group has a long-standing presence in the city and is seeking Associate Veterinarians to support a diverse, high-volume urban caseload across one or more locations.

Working Hours / Rota
The practices operate Monday through Friday from 8:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Saturday from 8:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and Sunday from 9:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Individual doctor hours are not otherwise specified. The position is available on either a full-time or part-time basis. The group does not operate a 24-hour emergency hospital, and after-hours emergencies are referred to local emergency facilities.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will deliver high-quality medical, surgical, and preventive care to small animal patients. Clinical responsibilities include wellness exams, diagnostic workups, dentistry, spay and neuter procedures, soft-tissue surgery, and general preventive care. The role requires clear and empathetic communication with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive strategies. Associate Veterinarians will collaborate closely with veterinary technicians, assistants, support staff, and other veterinarians, including board-certified specialists. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
