Brown & Brown is seeking an Azure Data Factory Engineer to join our growing team in Milwaukee, WI!

The ADF Engineer will design, develop, and assist with the Azure-based data ingestion processes which are the foundation of business, financial, and operations systems in support of core Division and Service Line functions and business processes.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Understand data transformation goals and translate those into an appropriate technical cloud solution.

  • Design and implement reusable data ingestion frameworks.

  • Learn and adopt new tools and techniques to increase performance, automation and scalability.

  • Migrate and deploy Azure analytics solutions.

  • Implement data services including Azure Data Lake, and Azure Data Factory

  • Analyze, troubleshooting and remediate performance issues.

  • Design and develop scalable data models and data ingestion frameworks to transform a wide variety of datasets.

  • Solve business problems using one or more Azure data services in combination with building data pipelines, data streams, and system integration.

Skills & Experience to be Successful:

  • Degree within Business Administration, Computer Science, Accounting, or Management Information Systems

  • 1-3 years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with Azure cloud platforms and tools for deploying and managing data and applications.

  • Proficient with T-SQL, data pipelines, and semantic models

  • Experience with DevOps principles.

  • Automation and orchestration experience with Visual Studio/VS Code, Azure Data Studio, Git, Azure DevOps is a plus.

  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.

  • Highly self-motivated and directed.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative, and matrixed environment.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking ability.

  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
