Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-process and final product quality inspections as required.
  • Prepare and issue Release to Service certifications when applicable.
  • Oversee and coordinate daily operations of the inspection department.
  • Act as the liaison between Quality and other departments to ensure discrepancies are promptly identified, communicated, and resolved.
  • Lead and support inspectors and auditors in monitoring quality activities, ensuring materials and work packages comply with customer and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and disposition of nonconforming, rejected, and scrap items.
  • Provide technical support for quality control activities, including in-process, final/conformity, and receiving inspections.
  • Support the Quality Assurance Manager in maintaining compliance with applicable FAA regulations and airworthiness directives, including participation in internal audits (AS9100, FAA Part 21, FAA Part 145).
  • Assist with and provide backup for internal audit activities.
  • Prepare, track, and follow up on corrective and preventive action reports, ensuring timely implementation and documentation.
  • Manage bi-monthly corrosion resistance testing, including sample collection, documentation, coordination with testing facilities, and tracking of results.
  • Support revisions and updates to company quality documents and forms.
  • Compile and submit monthly trend analysis and Quality KPI reports.
  • Assist during customer and FAA audits to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Written Communication: Communicates clearly and professionally in writing, with strong attention to spelling and grammar. Presents numerical data accurately and can read and interpret written materials.
  • Attendance & Punctuality: Maintains consistent attendance and arrives on time. Ensure responsibilities are managed during absences and are punctual for meetings and appointments.
  • Dependability: Adheres to instructions and responds appropriately to management direction. Demonstrates commitment to achieving goals, including working extended hours when needed. Completes assignments on schedule or proactively communicate alternate plans when necessary.

Required Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in manufacturing, or quality, preferably in an aerospace Repair Station or Manufacturing environment. Minimum 5 years' inspection experience including use of blueprints and inspection equipment (scales, calipers, etc.). Experience in the inspection and certification of Production parts is preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • A&P License or certification as an FAA Repairman or the ability to obtain certification in a timely manner is required.
