Preconstruction Manager / Senior Estimator

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Preconstruction Manager role located in Miami, FL. The Preconstruction Manager will oversee project planning, budgeting, preparation, buyouts and contract administration during the preconstruction phase to ensure successful execution.

Key responsibilities include managing construction estimates, developing detailed cost management plans, coordinating design processes, and preparing project proposals. Collaboration with clients, contractors, and internal teams will be integral to this role.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Construction Estimating and Cost Management methods and practices
• Can read and interpret full construction drawing sets (architectural, structural, and MEP) without assistance
• Routinely performs detailed, accurate quantity takeoffs and understands how those quantities translate into real-world costs
• Has a strong grasp of estimating, budgeting, and cost control, and can identify scope gaps, conflicts, and risk early
• Works with suppliers, sub-contractors, etc., to facilitate bids, takeoffs, pricing, and proposals
• Works with architects, drafters & engineers as required to ensure building plans are accurately documented
• Participates in value engineering efforts and identify areas for improvement
• Experience with Design Management and Proposal Writing
• Is organized, deadline-driven, and expects a high level of accuracy and accountability
• Communicates clearly and professionally
• Strong understanding of relevant software tools: Procore, Bluebeam, Excel and MS Project for preconstruction and project planning
• 5+ years in ground up construction (multiple trades)
• Experience in luxury, residential, and commercial construction (multiple trades)
• Spanish / English
