Bedrock Veterinary Specialists is searching for responsible, dedicated, hardworking and friendly Veterinary Technicians who are interested in a progressive established Specialty Surgery Center. Your Impact as a Veterinary Assistant This position will involve assisting our appointment team in surgical consultations, preparing patients for surgery, creating treatment sheets and other paperwork, opening sterile supplies and instruments in the O.R, and most importantly being the right-hand assistant to the Surgeon . These duties include preparing paperwork for appointments, ensuring treatment sheets are started and patient is on correct whiteboard in Smartflow, reviewing bloodwork and lab results with clients at the doctors discretion, assisting with client communication, ensuring tasks are being completed for transfers to the surgery team. Anesthesia experience is not required. What You'll Bring to the Team Basic Qualifications:
  • Highly competent technical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to kindly and effectively interface with our team, clients, and referring veterinarian using tact, patience, and a very high level of professional courtesy
  • Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations

Desired Qualifications:

  • RVT, LVT or equivalent experience, we are willing to train highly competent and kind team members to become surgical technicians.
  • Confident in ability to place IV catheters, blood draws, run lab work, create treatment sheets, Cleaning ORs, helping patients out of the OR.
