Brown & Brown is seeking a P&C Sales Leader to join our growing team in Denver, CO!
The purpose of the P&C Sales Leader is to drive a culture of success through new business, client retention, efficient processes and teammate engagement for the sales team. This role leads, directs and manages Property & Casualty producers toward the achievement of increased volume of profitable sales and optimum results in accordance with established agency objectives. This role is also accountable for setting, attaining and fulfilling sales objectives and goals.
How You Will Contribute:
Identify, design, and implement sales strategies for the assigned team.
Establish annual sales goals and objectives, analyze and evaluate the performance and results of each producer on an on-going basis and prepare periodic report(s) comparing the actual results with the goals and initiate any necessary action to see that the goals are accomplished.
Build and monitor growth plans with each producer, taking into consideration individual talents & strategies as well as identifying goals and recognition of achievements.
Partner with Profit Center Leadership team to identify, design & implement marketing strategies which will enhance image, product and services offered.
Partner with Profit Center Leadership to establish and refine uniform sales and service standards and develop strategies for improvement within the agency.
Actively lead and participate in sales efforts.
Assist in the identification and location of qualified prospects based upon target plans; assist producers with account surveying and selling.
Regularly evaluate and identify short term and long-term department recruitment needs and strategies to retain top talent.
Participate in the process of recruiting new producers to include attendance at career fairs and networking events.
Supervise, train, and develop the capabilities of the team in a manner that enhances the profit center's image and level of service to clients and companies; Regularly evaluate department teammates, in relation to skills, coverage, and exposure analysis.
Work directly with leadership to implement a learning program for new teammates with a focus on insurance coverage knowledge, carrier products and services, and profit center procedures.
Maximize use of Profit Center technology through regular training and assist in the ongoing research/solicitation of advance software products.
Maintain strong relationships with carrier partners to provide a benefit to the profit center, as it relates to optimizing products and services.
Collaborate with members of the Profit Center Leadership team to manage issues between sales and service teammates.
Communicate new opportunities, trends, and carrier information to all members of the team.
Build courteous and successful relationships with clients, vendors and carriers to improve client retention.
Actively participate in social, civic, trade organizations and industry associates which will assist in promoting Profit Center's image.
Manage and retain existing book of business and pursue new opportunities for the book, where appropriate, including a specific business plan for growth.
Review and prepare monthly analyses to measure progress in achieving profit center objectives.
Coordinate and conduct sales meetings; participate in profit center leadership meetings.
Pursue a program of personal and professional development.
All other duties as assigned.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid Producer license in good standing, within 90 days of hire
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
College Degree in a business-related field (preferred)
10+ years' experience in all aspects of insurance including agency management experience.
10+ years' experience operating in a leadership capacity.
Knowledge of insurance coverages, contracts, and state regulations where business is conducted.
Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Windows environment, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, and Publisher. Able to create, edit, and merge letters, spreadsheets, labels, etc.
Proficient knowledge use of office equipment (including but not limited to copy machines, printers, faxes, binding machine, etc.)
This position requires routine or periodic travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are requirements of this position.
Pay Range
$200,000 - $200,000 AnnualThe pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
