Messerli Kramer is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our legal team as a Legal Administrative Assistant supporting Trusts & Estates and Litigation practices. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, collaborating with talented professionals while supporting both transactional and litigation matters.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
Document Preparation: Drafting, editing, formatting, and proofreading legal documents, including estate planning documents, probate filings, pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence
Trusts & Estates Support: Assisting with probate and estate administration matters, organizing estate planning files, and maintaining client records
Litigation Support: Preparing and filing court documents (including e-filing), managing litigation files, tracking deadlines, and assisting with hearing and trial preparation
Timekeeping: Tracking and recording attorney time and ensuring invoices are accurate, detailed, and compliant with client billing guidelines
Data Management: Managing and organizing document management systems, maintaining client files, and updating contact information
Calendar Administration: Managing attorneys' calendars, scheduling meetings and hearings, coordinating appointments, and tracking critical deadlines
Proactively ensuring attorneys are prepared with necessary materials for meetings, hearings, depositions, and client conferences
Other administrative tasks such as processing expense reports and providing general administrative support as needed

REQUIREMENTS
3+ years of legal administrative experience (Trusts & Estates and/or Litigation experience preferred)
Minimum of high school graduation (business school or related professional legal administrative degree preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience managing multiple calendars and deadlines
Familiarity with court rules, filing procedures, and legal terminology
