Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Estimators to drive team performance and growth
• Oversee projects from initial estimation through final completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and profit targets
• Prepare and review high-level cost estimates while managing the overall estimating pipeline
• Direct operational budgeting efforts and implement strategies to enhance overall profitability
• Collaborate with the sales team to support business development initiatives and expand market opportunities
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality and reliability
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to review performance, support development, and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Champion a customer-focused culture, driving the team to achieve high satisfaction metrics (90%+ NPS)
• Stay informed on industry trends and implement best practices to improve operational effectiveness
• Develop and execute annual business plans aligned with broader organizational objectives
• Provide hands-on support by stepping in to estimate or manage projects when needed to maintain operational capacity

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related discipline
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial painting or commercial construction
• 3-5 years of experience leading mid-sized operations or sales teams
• In-depth knowledge of commercial coatings, estimating processes, subcontractor management, and field operations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with strong expertise in Excel
• Experience with Salesforce and project management tools is preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
• Willingness to travel approximately 25-50% within the assigned region
