Job Summary:
Accountable for safety, quality, production, shipping & receiving, and maintenance performance during assigned shift operations. Provides direct leadership across core operational functions, ensuring throughput targets, quality standards, and safety expectations are consistently achieved. Current supervisory focus supports value-add processing lines, including the slitter, cut-to-length/blanking line, and embosser, driving efficiency and equipment performance.

As a Production Supervisor You Will:

• Conduct product inspections to confirm specification compliance and oversees machine setups and adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
• Reviews production schedules and calculates labor requirements to meet deadlines efficiently.
• Adjust work procedures and staffing plans to align with production targets and shifting priorities.
• Applies a continuous improvement mindset to enhance production methods, equipment reliability, and overall product quality
• Recommend improvements to work conditions and equipment utilization to increase departmental efficiency.
• Troubleshoot operational issues, providing hands-on coaching and support to employees to resolve workflow challenges.
• Maintains accurate timekeeping and production records, ensuring accountability and data integrity.
• Partners with cross-functional leadership to coordinate production activities and maintain alignment across departments.
• Documents shift incidents and safety events, reinforcing compliance and workplace safety standards.
• Drives performance by monitoring and improving production goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Skills/Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or plant environment, with hands-on production exposure.
• Experience operating Cut-to-Length, Slitter, and Embosser lines strongly preferred.
• Background in process control and familiarity with steel, slitting, coil coating, or related steel processing operations highly desirable.
• Demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting ability.
• Proven ability to train, motivate, and lead production teams effectively.
• Flexible and dependable, with the ability to work extended or irregular hours based on production demands.
• Willing and able to support afternoon or night shift operations.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to direct and influence teams on the shop floor.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education is a plus.
