Overview
General Equipment & Supply (GE&S) provides durable remanufactured construction equipment, manufacturing tools, and related products. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manufacturing/Production Manager to lead operations at our Fabrication Facility in Simpsonville, SC. This handson role oversees daily production, quality control, and workforce management to ensure safety, efficiency, and ontime delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, direction, and training across all production areas, including equipment use, software, and company processes.
  • Collaborate daily with Customer Service, Fabrication Manager, QC Mananger and Warehouse teams to maintain exceptional service and meet delivery schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, housekeeping, and regulatory standards.
  • Lead assigned continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with the Operations Manager and Manufacturing Manager to resolve fabrication challenges, rootcause issues, and prevent recurrence.
  • Prepare and deliver assigned production and performance metrics.
  • Manage consumables, resources, and overtime planning for assigned staff with the Manufacturing Manager and Operations Manager.
  • Report safety, equipment, quality, and staffing concerns promptly and assist with corrective actions.
  • Monitor machine maintenance and perform basic equipment setup as needed.
  • Oversee production schedules and address potential delays.
  • Conduct quality control checks and communicate audit results.
  • Represent the facility in regional or national quality initiatives.
  • Perform fabrication, repairs and materialhandling tasks when required, including operating manual or powered equipment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred; an associate degree with relevant experience will be considered.
  • Strong communication skills and sound independent judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
  • PC proficiency.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
