Police Patrol Officer

City of Princeton Police Department is establishing a hiring list for Police Patrol Officer positions.

Applications are due by deadline: Friday, March 20, 2026 at 12:00 noon.

Examination and Testing: Written examination and orientation will be conducted on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Princeton Police Department, 605 Elm Place, Princeton, Illinois (use front door), beginning at 9:00 a.m. The written examination will be conducted upon completion of the orientation session. Applicants must present a valid Illinois POWER test card on the day of testing.

Candidates must be 21 years of age at the time of hire and must not be more than 35 years of age, unless exempt, at the time of application.
