· Strong on-air presence that connects with viewers, with the versatility to both anchor and report

· Broad knowledge of sporting events and a genuine enthusiasm for sharing that passion with viewers

· Knowledge of journalistic standards and ethics, especially as they relate to on-air presentation of sports stories

· Excellent, accurate and comprehensive writing skills, including for broadcast and digital

· Ability to generate non-traditional, creative approaches to sports storytelling

· Proven ability to develop sources, enterprise stories and ask tough, accountability-focused questions

· Strong live reporting skills, able to work fast and efficiently under tight deadlines

· Eagerness to be actively involved in the local community
