Burlingame Family Pet Hospital is growing, and we are excited to welcome an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to our Urgent Care team! This unique opportunity combines three swing shifts supporting our Urgent Care service with a day shift in General Practice, offering hands-on experience with a wide variety of cases and the chance to fully utilize your technical skill set.
Our ideal candidate is an RVT with a growth mindset who thrives in a collaborative environment and is comfortable engaging with clients. As part of our Urgent Care team, you will support both client-facing and clinical responsibilities, including triage, emergency case support, and treatment planning. On Mondays, you will work alongside our General Practice team offering support for appointments, surgeries, and procedures.
In both roles, you will be an integral part of the ongoing development of the nursing team and continued elevation of the care and services we provide.
Schedule:
This is a full-time position scheduled for four 10-hour shifts per week on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 12:30pm to 11:00pm, and Mondays from 8:30am-7pm.

Our 6 full-time doctors are well-equipped with digital radiology, in-house diagnostics, all computerized records (Evet/Pulse), and most of all, a talented and committed support staff team.
We are conveniently located near BART, CalTrain, and bus routes, offering easy access for employees who commute by public transportation.

Full-time benefits and compensation**:
- Compensation: $38-45 per hour, for each hour worked*
- Shift differential: Additional $2/hr on weekends and weekdays after 7pm
- Bonus package: $2000
- CE allowance: up to $1,000 annually based on tenure

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
- 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
- Current Registered Veterinary Technician License in the state of California
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Venipuncture and cystocentesis
- Placing IV catheters and administering injections
- Anesthetic induction and monitoring
- In house laboratory processing including microscopy
- Experience with Dentistry is a plus!
