The Opportunity:

As a data engineer, you know that organizing data can yield pivotal insights when its gathered from disparate sources. We need an experienced data engineer like you to help our clients find answers in their data to impact important missions from fraud detection to cancer research, to national intelligence.

As a data engineer at Booz Allen, youll help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. Youll deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful.

Here, youll work with and guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. Youll use your experience in analytical exploration and data examination while you manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or ML operations roles
• Experience working with enterprise data integration challenges in complex technical environments
• Experience designing and implementing data pipelines for analytics, AI, or ML applications
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
• Bachelors degree in a CS, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering field

Nice If You Have:

• 5+ years of experience with AI and ML, and data requirements for model training, validation, and inference
• 5+ years of experience with data ingestion and preparation techniques, including ETL or ELT pipeline development
• 5+ years of experience with data pipeline orchestration tools and frameworks, met adata tagging standards, and data cataloging approaches
• 5+ years of experience with data classification schemes and minimal data standards for AI and ML readiness
• 5+ years of experience with data flows, system integrations, and API-based data exchange patterns
• 5+ years of experience with cloud data platforms and hybrid cloud or on-premises integration patterns
• 5+ years of experience with SQL and programming languages for data transformation
• Experience in the federal government, including within the VA or the Department of Defense
• Masters degree in a CS, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individuals particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allens total compensation package for employees.
