Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure production runs safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This role plans and coordinates production schedules to meet output targets and customer demand while monitoring processes to maintain quality standards through inspections and corrective actions. The supervisor leads and develops production team members, enforces safety protocols, and ensures proper training and compliance with workplace regulations. They coordinate equipment maintenance to reduce downtime, identify opportunities for process improvements, and drive operational efficiency. Additionally, the Production Supervisor maintains accurate production records, tracks performance metrics, and provides regular reports to management.

As a Production Supervisor, You Will:

• Oversee shift operations to ensure adherence to production standards, quality requirements, and operating procedures.
• Coordinate smooth shift transitions and provide accurate reporting on production performance, issues, and improvements.
• Supervise production lines and personnel, including training, scheduling, and performance oversight.
• Monitor system reports and production data to maintain efficiency, proper resin blends, line changeovers, and accurate inventory/byproduct tracking.
• Enforce safety policies, conduct accident investigations, and lead safety meetings while ensuring GMP-compliant equipment operation.
• Collaborate with maintenance and transportation to support equipment reliability and on-time delivery of quality products, maintaining all required documentation and compliance records.

Skills/Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in blown film extrusion or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of extrusion processes, polymer materials, and equipment operation.
• Hands-on knowledge of the blown film extrusion process, including dies, blowers, chillers, and film characteristics (thickness, strength, clarity).
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on extrusion machinery to minimize downtime.
• Familiarity with quality assurance testing methods and experience using statistical process control (SPC) for data analysis and process improvement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems for reporting and production tracking.
